Data center travel

Maybe a dumb question but how do I visit other regions? I wanna visit some friends over in EU. But I can only seem to open the menu to visit, Aether, Crystal and Primal.

The "North America" part is frozen in place and cant switch it to Europe. And it only shows those three datacenters.

The only reason I had interest in data center travel was for visiting EU friends but I cant seem to figure out how.

it's not a thing, at least not yet. we can only visit data centers in the same region as our original dc.

You can't. So far, Data Centre travel only applies to Data Centres of the same region.

Oh thats sad to hear. I hope they open up other regions soon it was the only reason I was excited for it.

Wouldn't hold your breath on that tbh. They stated a reason for that is due to difference in values/playstyles & market systems. So basically the NA servers would have to show we can mesh well with EU/JPs side of the game before we'd be allowed to go there.

I think the better explanation would be that no one can handle balmung but the NA datacenters.

Oddly enough I see ERP explicitly mentioned in pf ads and it's not on Crystal/Balmung but across the pond. I personally hope we get to DC travel everywhere once they shake out the bugs regionally.

If you watch the circus that is happening in Balmung atm you might understand why it's limited at the moment. Personally I'd love to see it opened given i have characters in all regions of the game.
