    Materia latency issues

After hours upon hours of only being able to connect via VPN through Japan last night, it was good to see that the majority of Australians are able to actually login today.

Unfortunately though, the latency is still absolutely terrible for many of us (sitting around 112ms for me in Queensland), and there's been no Lodestone posts at all? I realise it's likely a water damage issue outside of SE's control, but some sort of acknowledgement, timeframe to fix it or something would be nice.
It's so frustrating when this is the second time in 6 months that there's been major issues for us trying to connect to our own data centre, and all we ever get is radio silence.

    connection to Materia issues

likewise same problem VPNed around the flooding but the oh so familiar lag and recently "lost" the connection again. Some acknowledgement of the problem and an eta on fixing it would be nice even if its out of square's hands to do anything about it. I was hoping that with Oceania getting it own server group we wouldn't be left in the dark with a flickering flashlight to find out what's going on when something hits the fan.

Same boat here from NZ, comparing trace routes to the server from what it used to be, looks like Telstra have some specific problems and now my ISP has some route in place to avoid Telstra but that involves routing over to Perth, then to Singapore and back into NSW.
It's all pretty much an ISP issue and also doesn't effect everyone as it depends on the routes your ISP use. Someone in my static is sitting at around 270 ping whereas I'm at 130 but some other people in NZ on another ISP it's business as usual with sub-30.
