Anyone have any updated videos of the billboard fc house

The videos yesterday were hilarious.

Gaming news websites picked it up its just a matter of time till fox or someone else picks it up and then course the purge that happens every two years on all ERP Groups will start.

I’m curious if anyone has any live feeds? Last I heard they have surrounded the house for the past couple days firing at the brothel with people playing clown music.

Tbh tho if people are gonna complain about ToS breaking then maybe they shouldn't be engaging in blatant harassment ingame.
They run the risk of getting in trouble themselves.

It's alright to think whatever one want about it and laugh about it, but it's a different thing to actually start harassing people ingame or even irl ( I heard some of the people working for them who had nothing to do with the billboard got harassed ... ).

Tbh I think people would look at you funny for it regardless.
I don't think it really changes any minds it only reinforces already held beliefs that weren't going to change regardless.
Asmongold had some of them on his Stream and they said that it was never intended to be 18+ but that it was intended to just be a tame event with competitions and prizes etc and I can believe that it's also the impression I got from the billboard.
And I don't think that just because a venue does ERP that it means they can't do non-ERP events too so long as it's marketed correctly.

Some of the drama was also fake and trolling, Quazii took down his video and recently uploaded a correction video because of this their Discord already had trolls in it and when this happened both the existing ones and new trolls started making posts posing as people from the venue to cause drama.
This was the case with one of the most frequently quoted one for example ( the one calling people c-word and moms boobies etc ).
Which isn't too surprising tbh, a lot of the posts were a bit too silly to be true but it didn't stop people from believing they were real.

The biggest crime here really is the use of datamined content, both on a legal level and also the devs stance because datamining is something they've specifically commented on before as especially bad.
And also the use of their trademark.
That's by far the most serious offenses, everything else is mostly a non-issue or trolling.

I also think that the drama has caused it to gain way more attention than it otherwise would've.
If people had just gone '' lol '' then moved on with their day it would never have become this huge thing it's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What is sad is people who RP those people are going to be thought of as sick freaks. RP used to mean role playing but at this point in FFXIV because EPRers have been allowed to somewhat operate until they get way to flagerant people think its all about erotic rp.

Sadly, if the major news networks catches on and this becomes a political issue there will be a crackdown in game on people who do not use add on or ERP and expect censorship and the people at fault will be those who enabled this. The ERPers kept pushing and pushing until they hit the line in the sand. I remember what it was like after the hot coffee scandal and it set video games back a couple years with games self censoring.

Remember this is an election year people.

Personally, I have no issue with RPers of most types. Never have for the most part, unless someone was genuinely weird or crossing some lines. This latest debacle doesn't really change that for me. If people want to ERP, that's their business. Have at it, I say, so long as it is between 2 consenting adults and behind closed doors. I'm content to watch this current dumpster fire from afar due to the absurdity of the situation. It is Darwinism in full display. Really wish I had some popcorn.

This is what I'm ultimately worried about. Dudes messed around and found out. But like a certain other hot topic issue in the US, certain people were quick to throw gaming into the discussion as a reason that bad stuff happends and others where quick to also throw morality as another issue with this point.

If certain people outside of the XiV community start connecting these parties to the +18 venues, it could just add fuel to the fire and make this a situation like r/antiwork. Extra points for doing it in Texas. I hope that I'm wrong and this just blows over.

Because they do 18+ stuff, the best way to market such a thing is to work with someone else to do safer events or create another space for them.
