I'm currently just imagining it opening back up again only to once again be overwhelmed and forcefully shut down again.

This isn't like a content release where people are going to complete content and be on their way. Even after all of the curiosity over Balmung quiets down people are going to want to see their friends. Friends are what a lot of people play for. The only real way things actually, truly improve is through players losing interest in something that isn't content but rather a QoL feature that's meant to be enjoyed all the time. Once enough people lose interest in something they deserve to be able to use it'll actually be stable for use...

To be completely honest most of those were about DC travel instead with ppl making assumptions about transfer based on earlier thing (I believe the post which said transfer will be back after new servers are stable was made when they actually turned it off weeks back).

Anyway. Happy we have like more or less specific date now at least. I just Hope next week means closer to monday than friday. xD

To be honest I am kind of scared to try to transfer as soon as they will open it up again as I imagine there will be lots of people who will try it. Even more than normally consisering we have new servers to move to.

And they just stated it uses same structures as DC travel.

Next week.

The updates been about DC TRAVEL we’re talking about HOME WORLD TRANSFER, there has not been much talk or updates on that.

It’s good they finally giving something concrete but there is no guarantees it will be enabled next week,

we will wait until the end of the week to confirm that there are no issues and resume the service sometime next week. We will announce the opening date as soon as it is determined.

It’s hard to trust their word when they said this already

The temporarily suspended Home World Transfer Service will be resumed after this maintenance depending on the operation status of the Data Center Travel system.

And they just stated it uses same structures as DC travel.

I suspected that but now is first time they confirms that. It was always odd to me this system had to be benched. At the same time, I don’t understand the wait, I mean if visit system works stable, then shouldn’t travel be stable now?

Exactly turn it on now. I could transfer now before leaving for work and come back to the new home server I am going to. Was also hoping to put a bid on a house when I get over there but now might as well scrap that idea

But, at least they made some feedback at it.

And for the people trying to separate stuff, the World Transfer and the DC travel uses the same structure. So, any feedback in one of them will affect the other

Gotta love how people feel the need to white knight SE whenever there is valid criticism. The implementation, planning, and communication have been awful. But if you constantly defend them, they'll feel no need to improve.

People want things to be better for everyone, why must you impede them?

Sadly housing will not be available for some time on the new servers.

If you transfer to old server though best lottery cycle is now as they converted some fc wards.

You’re right, I assumed they meant the four new EU worlds.
