Unable to log in Materia Data Center

I play on PS5 and I haven’t been able to log into the game for over 10 hours now. I’m on Ravana, Materia.
Any word on a fix? There’s nothing posted on the Lodestone about it at all

the FFXIV server is fine. It is up. The issue is with that couple of routing/node got damaged in Sydney flood. The issue lie with Telstra NBN. There is nothing that SE can do about it. It is out of their control. You will have to wait until Telstra fix the route/nodes. In meanwhile, you will have to use VPN to use other route. I use Mudfish VPN and I can get in. I don't know how to use VPN with PS5. You will have to google how to do that.

The issue lie with Telstra NBN.

Does not exist and Telstra isnt an ISP. The NBN isnt run by Telstra

Yep, ongoing issues with a large number of AU/NZ and OCE players.

Best guess at this time is that it is related to weather damage in Sydney (location of the datacenters) causing inconsistent routing. Using a VPN service can bypass the issue at the cost of latency.

NBN Co have made announcements about infrastructure damage in the area which would be a likely cause.

Would be nice to hear some confirmation from SE but I imagine this is mostly out of their control right now.

Yep haven't been able to log in since yesterday afternoon without a VNP due to issues in Sydney from flooding preventing connection to Data Centre.

I've been using a VPN to connect to the Materia Data Centre with routing through Western Australia or JPN Works.
Seems to only be affecting connections from Eastern States.

As for VPN for PS5 best to lookup some guides as there are a few ways to do it but not as simple as PC.
