NO. Because there won't BE five people on that tank, and you aren't going to kill it before it uses its CDs. If anything, it's going to blow it's invul EARLY while the rest of their team is ripping your faces apart. But you and the other guy targeting the tank and not killing it is the reason why your teams keep losing.

So no, you don't target them first. At least not in lower ranks you absolutely don't because you can't rely on the other four dips on your team to actually target it with you. So STOP telling people to target tanks unless you're gold+ and actually have teammates who might maybe possibly cooperate. This 'kill the tank' mentality is making it impossible to climb out of bronze and silver. Just stop with it.

Edit: Right after writing this I even attempted to mark, and focus fire the tank at the start of the match. It didn't die, everyone else was on the astrologian or the Ninja, it didn't die, and it was a complete waste of time. Meanwhile the SMN was killing everyone.
