    im in brisbane, and a few other FC mates aswell, having connection issues, seems theres no response from the server at all.

    im wondering it there might be a routing issue

    can connect to other DCs with no problem, just materia

    Wait makes sense. It seems, that (maybe) I am hitting a different route to the world than you.

    A VPN or a mobile internet connection could help. This should force another route to the FF14 servers.

    I'm north of the boarder as well. I've run a trace route, it's getting trapped at a node in the Sydney area, at a guess due to the floods. People playing from other areas in Aust, and anyone outside will likely have no issue connecting. Anyone in northern NSW, QLD, and probably NT will either need to get a VPN to route around (or set up a route themselves) or wait till ISPs fix the routing or the node comes back online.

    I've tested JP and NA DCs and I can reach those, so the other option is if you have characters there you should have zero issue logging on to play those.
