    I agree!
I started a new character recently for kicks, on a separate server from my main so I had no access to any resources my main had and it was ridiculously easy to make money. Even by level10 I had more money than I needed (80k from random sidequests, storyline quests and NPCing junk).
I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but to a lv10 it's like /lottery! and that number will only go up as you level.
It's really really not that hard for players to catch up, and nomatter what you do you're always going to have people with ridiculous amounts of gil, it's unavoidable and inevitable in any MMO, so better get used to it D:

Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means

Not worried about them catching up, worried about them staying around long enough to catch up.

That's what good content comes in, that is what keeps people in a game.
