It was my thought too, there's additional obfuscation for them being on another DC and <traveller> rather than just a <wanderer> on the same DC.

A lot of marketboard balancing is likely happening too. People moving fast to get cheap goods from one DC to another to make maximum gil.

Subscriptions have been the same price for over a 20 years for mmos.

Netflix prices have gone up. Everything else has gone up. Inflation is a thing. You are technically paying less right now to play than anyone who started at launch.

Like, sure it's nice that it's available now and you can go see your friends on other data centres, but I wouldn't think that necessarily means that EVERYONE wants to go see their friends RIGHT NOW when it's a permanent feature.
