Mediums and larges have upper floors, but smalls only have a basement. Several in game items show an upper floor in the exterior anyway. Increase the space for items, and give us one more floor to decorate. It's a weird design choice when the two larger sizes than you have upper floors, and we don't. I get the size differences, but they should all have an equal number of floors, just smaller.

It would also make sense considering the fact that houses are hard to come by, and that smalls are the most common. It would help bring more housing equality to all.

Honestly, I would like to see appartment rooms with 2 floors, like a small house. I don't understand why it's not a thing already after all, those instances are already present in the game.
That would be a tremondous addition to help solve the housing issue in this game, imo.

Just allow any internal to be loaded from any door (keeping the object limits if that's the reason SE are holding back, but if not, remove those too)

Want a large goblet inside your Shiro apartment door, then go for it. Want a mist apartment for your large Empy door, yep, that should be doable too.

Small houses didnt even have the basement originally. Literally just the size of an apartment room. Its plenty of space as is.

I'd be satisfied with having the option of a basement OR upper floor in smalls just for variety. To be honest, what I'd really like would be to have separate rooms, ala FC houses, so I could make a separate bedroom area.

Even so, those are minor niggles; I'm just grateful to have a house at all.

Not if it keeps the smaller room size of the first floor. The layout of the existing first floor and basement is entirely different from a medium house's first floor and basement. I'm pretty sure both are smaller as well.

Honestly I'm all for it. Reduce the disparity between smalls and mediums and maybe you'll spread out the competition a bit more. Seeing as there are WAY more smalls than mediums available. For some reason.
