Thread: Will v. 2.0 feature item linking in chat?

Yes it is a nice feature that's in almost every mmo that's currently on the market. I think the reason they didn't have it was because of the PS3 which doesn't have a mouse that you can play with so you couldn't mouse over a linked item and click it to see what it is. Part of the problem they have is having a UI for both platforms.

Although I have never equipped a mouse with my PS3, I was pretty sure you could attach a mouse to the USB ports of the console and have it be functional, unlike the XBox, which I have tried to work with a mouse to no avail.

Still, I'm sure a way can be found for the feature to be implemented in the console version.

I'm definately in support of this. Ease and accessibility should be the cornerstones of any modern MMO UI.
