Yes it is a nice feature that's in almost every mmo that's currently on the market. I think the reason they didn't have it was because of the PS3 which doesn't have a mouse that you can play with so you couldn't mouse over a linked item and click it to see what it is. Part of the problem they have is having a UI for both platforms.


Although I have never equipped a mouse with my PS3, I was pretty sure you could attach a mouse to the USB ports of the console and have it be functional, unlike the XBox, which I have tried to work with a mouse to no avail.Yes it is a nice feature that's in almost every mmo that's currently on the market. I'm definately in support of this. Ease and accessibility should be the cornerstones of any modern MMO UI.
