Does SE plan to update server population limits?

So, I find myself returning to FFXIV to find that not only have I been merged onto Durandal, but that it's at capacity. I am sure there have been many threads about this, but has SE made any indication that the populations are going to be increased?

I feel there are plenty of people who have a main with progress that they don't want to reroll, and friends they'd like to play with.

they should make it where a server can only hold the number of accounts that can be playable at a time.

let see how much more broken 1.23 will make the game, atleast thats the finale of FFXIV version 1

It's already been addressed. character creation has been reopened on those worlds.
