Disappointing GM policy re: support of human rights.

I agree that abortion rights should be considered a basic human right. No one should be forced to have a forced birth.

However, this rule exists because if they don't do a blanket ban then it could cause major headaches. Better to just ban all political activism.



Abortion Rights shouldn't even be political as they should be a basic human right. A certain party, which failed to read their own book which gives instructions on how to safely perform an abortion, made it political because it's easy to advocate for a fetus as they have no opinions and it costs them nothing while hurting those they see beneath them.

I'm pro-life but I wouldn't hold some stupid protest in-game since it doesn't belong in the game.
Why is it so hard to understand that divisive real life issues should be kept out of where people go for escapism?

And here we are. Exactly where I thought. Arguments while carefully virtue signaling or casually inserting arguments for or against whatever position people have.


This is why we don't or shouldn't allow this kind of thing in game or on forums. Extremely divisive, impossible to have a rational discussion of in the environs of a video game or video game forum and all it does is agitate and pollute.

No awareness is being had. No Change is being made. No opinions being moved.

Just emotional and charged gobbledygook.

While your efforts and protests in of themselves are not wrong (you have a right to your opinion!), the rules are laid out rather clearly that you should not hold political/religious/etc protests in the game. SE's house, SE's rules. They might change their mind on the topic, but here and now, you did break the rules.

While I loved that thread and I'm sad to see it gone, I'm assuming the massive community backlash may have something to do with it. I personally would consider all of people camping/spamming emotes/firing cannons/etc at the house to be actual in-game harassment, not to mention all the memes (glorious memes) that are spreading around all the various platforms. Keeping that thread alive was only bringing more attention to the whole mess. Not to mention it was severely derailed by a pirate wannabe and that entire topic was questionable as well.
