There will likely never be a one-stop-shop option. That's just too much info to be handled at once. This is why dream fitting exists as it does, within the confines of the inn room.

So why can't we have other similar searches in the confines of the inn room?

Even if they can't handle everything, viewable dungeon and alliance raid gear would be a massive help.

Yep. Those are the two areas lacking in accessibility. I don't know about dungeons, but I could see them adding some kind of vendor to the respective alliance quest zones to pick up gear after one has cleared and the content isn't as relevant. Dungeons are easily farmed and people running them helps the newer people more.
