It's happening whether we like it or not, I think it's better to wait and see than for people to get too angry and make up our minds already before it's out.

It's a good sign that they're delaying it because that shows they're giving extra thought to it and are listening instead of rushing it out.
The delay happened because of the uproar against the SAM changes, so it seems like it's at least making them re-think.

Reworks aren't some universally bad thing in FFXIV, a lot of Job reworks have been really good and well-received.
I think we should at least give it a chance.

This is impossible to know without actually knowing the context surrounding who is doing what.
Devs helping with other projects isn't something unusual and resources generated by one game doesn't just all go directly into the same game it gets spread out to other projects.
There's a reason why the mogstation cash going back into FFXIV is a thing they had to basically make a statement about, because it's not normal in the industry.

It's kinda pointless to speculate about this and the info we have to go on indicates that it's not a problem and isn't slowing them down.
The reworks and overhauls we have to look forward to are unprecedented and we have more new systems and content than I can remember in other expansions coming and some of which have probably not even been announced yet.
I also don't think that the same guy who gave his team extra free time because he thought they were overworked on FFXIV would then make them work even harder on two games at the same time.
Sometimes devs have reduced workload on their main project and can help out on other projects.
That doesn't mean that their main project is suffering for it.
