Reddit is close to 90% AMERICAN and last i checked, the US isnt the only nation on the face of the planet. The FF 14 playerbase is diverse, coming from dozens of nations..and to be bluntly honest, Reddit as an 'accurate source" is utterly laughable as they lean hard left and run a system with a festering hivemind that downvotes and dogpiles on anyone who dares disagree with them.

I dont CARE what Reddit thinks...because after years of reading their tripe, it is clear that many of them......dont think at all.

There have been people voicing their concerns on every server across the world. SAM and NIN changes were universally panned as terrible on all servers, despite not affecting DPS on those jobs all that much, so why would DRG fare any better? Just because Americans are the most vocal in their concerns, doesn't necessarily mean they're alone in them.
