The goalpost has shifted from 4 months to 4.5 months

It's funny how they said they will go back to normal schedule once COVID is over a few years ago.

Then in the live letter they announce that the patch cycle will be 4 months instead of 3.5.

And now it's 4.5 months after 6.1

I wonder how the white knights will defend this.

Their typical historic patch days have been 119 days between each major patch, with this upcoming patch being around 133 days which still puts it on their expectation of an additional 2 weeks on top of their typical development time, no? Something that they announced a while ago with the 6.1 patch notes.

Unless I missed an actual announcement specifying that they will be extending the development cycle by an additional 2 weeks on top of what they have already specified earlier in the year? As far as I am concerned though, their default patch cycle was 119 days which is already 4 months.
