Don't change you argument mid discussion on the sly, you were literally arguing for removing skills for no gameplay benefit until 7.0.

tbh it would be fine by me if dragoon would just stay as it is now. its amazing. no new skills even if there are more lvl to it. otherwise we will lose skills and get new ones over lvl 90 which will stretch out the lvls between getting skills. if it stays as it is we would judt get more content we csn play with a great rotation without losing skills in downscaling.
yeah sure there will be people getting bored of it. but other people wont. and there will be new players in the future who otherwise never can enjoy this version of dragoon.
I still don't get why there's this ubiquitous notion that DRG is button bloated, when it's one of the jobs with the least amount of actions that have to be bound in the hotbars (see this post https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...=1#post5925792).
If DRG is button bloated, then so are almost all jobs in the game (and in a sense they are, but this may only become apparent in 7.0).
To add to the discussion at hand, jobs should have both a low skill floor to help newcomers and a high skill ceiling to appeal to veterans or those wanting to master the job. Simplifying DRG may lower the floor, but it'll likely not increase the ceiling.
Therefore, I think it's in the best interest of those who love the job and those who want to try it or play it at a more casual level to ask for the job not to be simplified just for the sake of the latter, especially if we consider that DRG is not precisely the most complex job there is and in fact should have its ceiling increased.
You don't need to maintain peak mathematical efficiency at all times in order to clear content, different difficulty levels require different amounts, but never the actual 100%. And let's not confuse casual players with lazy players. A casual player can still enjoy a job or the game itself having a high level of execution to strive towards. A lazy player wants to remove all failure modes and turn the game into a visual novel.
"Casuals want to zone out"
Cool, we get it, you literally do not want to apply yourself at all. Feel free to keep not applying yourself, it doesn't make anyone an elitist because they don't hate the idea of having to actually try to achieve good results in this game. Go play something else, it's clearly not for you.
I mean let’s not encourage the casuals to not apply themselves at all because that just leads to lazy play"Casuals want to zone out"

Casual play should be 1-2-3 press your oGCD’s maybe drift a bit mess up some positionals, disconnect for safety and make some dumb mistakes like pressing oGCD’s in the wrong order, it should not be zone out completely and do whatever you want
I can't help but think of this video, when it comes to these types of people in support of 1-2-3 and perhaps Quatro! gameplay.
" 123-4 Gameplay! Woohoo!! "
(Warning: I will not be held responsible for lost IQ points)
Acid aside, here's my 2 cents as a Non-DRG main.
I'd be surprised if these types of players even know what Life Surge / Battle Litany / Dragon Sight is or does to even complain about simplifying or removing them. Lets remove Elusive Jump, it's just a button that turns my casual 123 rotation combo brain into a FloorTank everytime... /s
Almost as if all these bad takes are coming from non-DRG mains or people who don't play the game beyond the bare minimum content the game provides. Or another Elezen on the forum.
Any Lv47 Dragoon MSQ enjoyers in this thread maybe?
Ironic, reading MSQ for hours? sure. Reading tooltips for 10 min? wow! now that's a burden... that goes into Elitism, pfff... " Reading ", how dare u. /s
The argument point of wanting Less is more Fun? when Less means Less gameplay as well, makes little sense and its quite selfish as well since it comes at the cost of long DRG mains enjoyment. If your point is MSQ? you don't need to understand the job. Or any job you literally press 1 2 3 and perhaps 4, and done. There's no difficult Enrage in MSQ, if you know what an Enrage even is..
As far as I know? there's no medical condition for being allergic to more gameplay either... but FFXIV forum posters defending simplifications are making me think otherwise...
I might. Been thinking on that. Game is poo outside of msq.
Hope game fail actually. It already is. Be back to the 10 players.
