Very strange yea. I mean we all know that everyone on the forum is part of a single hivemind and there cannot exist groups of people with different opinions. /s
We don't practice heterogeneity around these parts, sorry. We only accept homogeneity here. "One, therefore all must..."

Moogle delivery quests were nice because it fed a decent chunk of world building, minimal or no but i guess it is either too much work or many people just do not care to have more of those.
The quest chain also made me legit appreciate the ex garlean soldier in the shack near Wineport after having to bear the annoying wine (ARR and Ivalice) because we got to know a little more about him as an example, ARR obviously gets the most work with npcs\quests no matter how you look.
But seriously though, i love Hildi and it is a shame we can't get another side content like moogle delivery quests but probably because it didn't get enough attention and also because they trimmed a lot of text with dialogues and journals.

Looking back how grindy some of the ARR relics used to be (the drop rates of everything and fates spawning times were not as generous as they are now) I don't think this is the worst which could happen honestly.
Considering that the main reason this questline takes so long are cutscenes, which you can skip, it does not sound half bad for people who are not so fond of Hildibrand. I imagine there might be way worse steps introduced to the whole relic grind on top of it yet as they are supposed to be not super easy to get anyway.
Either way I am just really curious to see how it will all tie together.

So... there's no equivalent of Eureka or Bozja in EW?
Maybe, maybe not.
It's too soon to make any inferences on what the content may or may not contain based on just the unlock series alone.
Though personally speaking I would rather they hang up that curtain and actually focus those resources elsewhere than try a third iteration. Especially if they are aiming to release a deep dungeon. The last thing I want is a corridor simulator.
While I respect your opinion not to do something, that's not how things work. Shareholders do not care about what content people are playing in the game, they care about how much revenue SE (and specifically the FFXIV team here) made for them.
No one in any board meeting with investors went, "So you see, the Engagement Metrics for the Gold Saucer are through the roof! We will be making more of it!" It's more like, "Box sales hit record profits, and we will see that double the next time or they'll cut our budget in half."
