Hildibrand for relic? Really?

The quest line is worth it simply for the rewards and the instanced duties are quite fun and different. Frankly for those with one main I'm surprised they've passed up the questline. I've done it on my alts recently simply because I'm expecting some cool new rewards from the new questline and did it before they announced it would be needed for relic.

Relative to the duties you can unsync the 1st 3 of them solo but need a group for the trial.

I love the trials, especially the last one. Looking forward to seeing those in roulette more.

The quest series is a must on all my alts for me. Gotta get those dances.

I loved that even the villain was part of the crew. Like the whole storyline was just a play everyone was putting on. So it fit that the person "playing" the WoL was right there as the star.

What I love the most about Hildibrand is that it's an optional que... oh wait, what now?

It could be really fun if the relic grind this expansion is a big treasure hunt that allows gatherers to get involved again. Would be fitting, no? Given hildi's detective occupation.

My issue with this decision is the lack of world building. I work for a living so I know it's pretty sweet to reuse things to make an existing job easier but it does feel a bit cheap that instead of new lore or a questline that fleshes out the world we get told, "Do this existing questline if you want a relic". I thought they were making a relic quest line, not a prerequisite to pad out time like they were making another beast tribe quest. Why fight it at this point, I just wish the devs would do something so erroneous that it will finally chase me off, lol.

But Hildibrand is only there to unlock it. We have absolutely no idea how much world building will be done...after all Bozja did not stop its world building with Ivalice either...

Oh no they are making me do a questline that is a grind for weapon that is supposed to be a grind, how could they do this.

if you dont like grinding you dont have to do it, relic weapon is literally optional content.

This is actually one relic grind that I'll do. A lot of the Hildi humor's stupid, I'll grant that; not everyone gets or likes Benny Hill or Mel Brooks. I don't like raiding and didn't appreciate being forced to do them to unlock the Bozja; however, I did it any way to get access.

If you really don't like it; put your head down, lift your shield, charge forward, and skip the cutscenes. The worst you'll have to deal with then is traveling around, which is pretty brain-dead relative to raids, dungeons, FATEs, and Critical Encounters.

I really love the Hildibrand series. But its side content and light. It should not be tied to relic but at the same time I do understand they want to get more people to do Hildibrand to help justify the development costs.

I just hope this isnt the end of Hildibrand series with this relic or rather just a branch from hilidbrand storyline.
