Hildibrand for relic? Really?

Just going to get my take out there, I do not enjoy the complete randomness of Hildy in the slightest, But I love the grind of relic weapons. In fact I would even say its my most looked forward to part of the game. Making my relic quests a joke instead of the more serious aspects sours the entire content update for me to the point I am currently debating if I should continue the game for the next year or not. I understand that the new content looks fantastic but my whole thing has almost always been the relic grind. YES I REALLY DO LIKE MY RELICS THAT MUCH! I refined souls or crystallized essence to make a powerful weapon (and made a kettle at the END), I created a soul, I found out what happened to the Baldesion, I fought in a War, and now I get to... do something with a crazy person... joy.

Not sure whether they were being actually serious about this or not, but either way it's bad form to require such an absurdly long questline to be completed before we can do this expansion’s relic. I don’t even think Ivalice is as time consuming, and at least acts as a skill check on the playerbase.

Idk, can we not be happy they are trying something different? I personally miss Hildy. I see players complain they are homogenizing the game but they don't want to let them try anything different when they do. Can we pick a lane?

We complain about a stale and rigid formula, wherein the developers are too afraid to bother deviating from the said content formula. When they elect to deviate from it and try something different. We then subsequently complain and throw our toys out of the pram because it cost us a dungeon or an exploration zone for them to deviate.

After her take regarding those of us who dared to criticize Endwalker's story I can't say I have a high regard for whatever opinions she may or may not hold about this thread.
