Yoshi-P encouraged people to "take a break". Big difference between that and telling folks to stop giving them money. He wasn't lying but they very clearly do not support people un-subbing.
People love to parrot the "take a break" argument, while conveniently ignoring the maintaining a subscription part. If SE wants us to take that suggestion at face value, then don't make people lose their houses (when the timer is reinstated) and their FC Leadership.
I'm just waiting for them to comeback and say "There wasn't much we could do for Astrologian" like they did with Scholar. Not touching any of the issues the job is plagued with, and the only change is them tacking on increased party movement speed on Lady of Crowns. As a healer main, and someone whose been playing astro a lot this expansion, seeing them push back the changes onto DRG & AST just made me worry so much. Im praying they just bring back sleevedraw from SHB. Honestly, I almost don't want them to touch anything on astro specifically until they start giving us healers a "real rotation" like we want.
Except there is no "while maintaining a subscription" part. The take a break literally meant that. Including unsub. The % of the population that are actually FC leaders or house owners is very small. If you're one of those select few, then perhaps the situation is different, but it is for you in general. If you're part of the large majority that are just typical players, unsub while you wait for the new content you want. Stop parroting the already debunked "counter" to the very clear words of the game director.
I'm not sure what you mean by this. Nothing of what you said has invalidated what I said, and it's just deflecting the issue by claiming it doesn't affect enough people.
I guess I must consider myself lucky for being a triple minority in this game, then. A Hrothgar that owns a house and a Free Company. I'm glad everything is working perfectly for you, though. I can't say that has been my experience.
They would be as frustrating as savage if a single mistake wiped the party instead of allowing us to rez the person who made the mistake and that's the point I'm trying to make.
We had a new extreme trial that is meant to be farmed, a new daily expert dungeon to cap tomestones with, a new weekly alliance raid that was widely praised in all aspects and a new ultimate raid to spend lots of time progressing through, just 5 months after the launch. If you don't find that content interesting then I suppose you just don't find this game's content interesting in general, but that doesn't mean they aren't making content. No I expect there to be some form of new, replayable interesting content that is released sooner than 11 months after expansion launch.
It overwhelmed me and I saw a lot of people being forced to prioritize. The patch lulls are not pleasant for the people who don't take breaks and spreading the content out has helped it.Stop being a shill. It never overwhelmed the player base. People enjoyed having relics to do at ARR launch. In fact the playerbase complained in SB that Anemos came out in 4.2 instead of 4.1, as well as in ShB when the first relic step was a gimmie instead of repeatable content.
The island looks as big as all of the eureka zones combined to me. It looks like the isle of val. Remember that it's zoomed out. We were told that the hrothgar in the picture is a dot because it's that zoomed out.The island looks smaller than Anemos. SB saw 4 distinct field instances. Island Sanctuary will have the main release and 2 updates. How is that good in relation to what we used to got in the past? Why settle for less?
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

You are being arrogant. Go work as a game dev and let us see what you will create and how many will pay you to play the game you've created. It's time to accept that the dev team has poor work ethic in general. Seriously, 6 months to create a gearset? And they're brave enough to say this out loud with their chests? Every time we hear about any of the development processes, it's always completely abysmal. Hydaelyn's model took a month, btw. How do they find the nerve to put this out there as if it's a good thing? It doesn't make me think "wow they spend so much time on the finer details," it makes me think "what the hell are they doing with all of their time?" It should be no mystery, knowing this, why job complexity is being hacked at the shins every patch. The team is too small and their work ethic is remarkably poor.
