Up to top 50 or 30 isn't necessarily luck based but +30 is just pure luck whatever comes. When I look at light, top 2 is a player who only played the first month and never again. Even 1st place is an alt, while his main is stuckt and knows if he do more games he get even more punished.

So the best you can do is even do more alts and hope one get the lucky run otherwise you do the next.
Thing is, why does it even matter? Nothing of substance comes from top 100. It's bragging rights, at best.

The only reason to do ranked at all is to try and guarantee better games, on average, than in casual. And despite the problems with the matchmaking, it so far *has* done exactly that. When I login and queue, very few games are complete stomps anymore. Many games go almost the full five minutes with neither team making it more than 30%, because the teams are even and everyone's playing to win (or, more likely, both teams have the same level of dysfunction, lack of focusing targets, etc.)

I dunno. Top 100 is just a meme, I guess. Since it's not a strict measurement of skill (although any player that gets to and consistently stays in the top 100 probably *is* more skilled than most), it doesn't really matter if you do or don't make it in before the cut-off. So I'm not too worried about it.

I've had bad luck with teammates, I've had good luck with teammates. I'll have to check my achievements and figure out what my WR is, but last time I looked it was I think 55%. I feel like, bad matchmaking or not, if you are skilled and you are *consistent*, you will still win more games than you lose. Picking good classes is also relevant - classes like DNC are going to struggle more, because they're heavily reliant on having good teammates. But then again, I play SCH for 95% of games, so I guess if SCH works so does DNC.
