    Little guide to PvP

LOCK your map to keep it open, and zoom out to see the entire map, so you can see what nodes spawn, and where the enemy is.

DON'T go for nodes/crystals too near the enemies bases, when they respwan they have INV so it's useless attacking them.

ALWAYS go for BIG nodes first.

DEFEND, this is crucial, when you occupy a node just DEFEND, please...

STAY AS A GROUP, strenght is in the number, if you're wandering alone, you are an easy target for a kill.

DON'T CHASE, i know yor ego is bigger than your popoto, but points are more important.

PUSH (aka go YOLO) -insert enemy colour here-, i don't stress it enough, POINTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR K/D ratio, so concentrate ONLY on the enemy team that has the HIGHER points.

LISTEN (read) the chat, and FOLLOW THE ORDERS, and if you think you have better plans/strats just write them in the chat (please note to use ALLIANCE chat and NOT shout chat..............)

FOCUS on players that have BATTLE HIGH, they are dangerous.

LEARN your LB, READ THE TOOLTIPS, and don't use it randomly.

RNG is a BIG POPOPTO, you can't change that sadly.

All these rules can be applied to every frontline, apart from Crystal Conflit, you don't win there yeah..

For Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam), after you secure the node JUST REGROUP, don't go for kills.

And for last, DON'T BE COCKY.

These are just the points that came to my mind right now, if you have more please write them down.

Which nodes you go for is going to depend on where enemies are and where your teammates are. Going for big nodes first is often a mistake - they will be the nodes that are contested the most. If you capture two B's in the time the other two teams are pointlessly fighting over an A, you've already gained just as many points as them and are in better position to go for future nodes, pinch, etc.

Defending is almost always a bad idea unless you are being pushed. Defending means you aren't going out and seeking kills. Kills feed points to your team, take points away from the enemy team, and give your team BH. Once you take a node, your next step should always be to consult enemy positions on the map and see if there's an opportunity to pinch them.

Points are actually less important than kills. If you look at the breakdown after the game, the winning team virtually always has more points from kills than from objectives.

RNG is an element, but in most cases, the team that wins is the team that played the best. People fixate too much on going after nodes and not enough on making sure they're in a good position. Going after ice on an enemy side of the map puts your guys at risk and also makes you unable to contest ice or nodes or whatever that spawn elsewhere on the map.

I'll approve this guide to those that is just starting pvp and are non regular pvpers.

If you really get into pvp you'll find out that a few of the tips mentioned above can be either bent or broken depending on the map being played and the classes that is being used.

That sounds like a perfect guide to having a boring game of Player vs. Objective instead of actual PvP. I guess follow this if you want to be lame cannon fodder that gets stomped in the second half of the match because they got no Battle High.

I agree with you about the map, and I suspect that very few people keep it open in this way. Having the map always open and zoomed out means you can see all nodes at a glance, track enemy movement, locate all entrance or escape routes, and then use that information to determine the best course of action. Unfortunately, telling teammates to "keep maps open" or "look at your map" is unhelpful if they don't have the map open this way since they'll have limited information to work with.

And just like PVE, knowing what your actions do and how to best utilize them cannot be stressed enough. Staying with your alliance, following commanders, and not chasing (at least in the way people play Frontlines in the West) is also good general advice.

However, people who prioritize points, especially big nodes, when it's not advantageous to do so is one of my biggest peeves about Frontlines players. It's a common misconception that you can win by points alone (there's an exception, but it assumes the other two teams let you walk away with 99% of the map for 20 minutes, which is rare). In fact, teams that prioritize points over kills will usually be winning at the start of the match but lose the long game. As soon as a team with battle high decides to fight you, you're going to get run over because your team has no battle momentum.

Another major way I've seen prioritizing points cause teams to lose matches is because it causes their team to disintegrate rather than safely disengage. For example, Team A will be successfully attacking Team B. Someone on Team A will suddenly call for everyone to go to a node. The support (ranged, healers, casters) will break away first because they are able to by their position, abandoning the forwards (tanks and melees). Because they are no longer being pressured by Team A's back line, Team B will break through and kill the forwards, then continue pushing until the supports are also killed. In other words, a gradual team wipe.

As for fighting once a node is capped in Onsal Hakair (or any other map) and prioritizing points of K/Ds, I disagree with that. This leads to another one of my biggest peeves about Frontlines players is many suck a the fighting part. Of course, you don't want to play with a team all day, especially if they're not the biggest threat at the moment, but you don't to "rubber-band," either. If there's an opportunity to get battle high so you can win the long-game and bring the other team down a peg, capitalize!

This became longer than I intended, so tl;dr, I agree with some of your points wholeheartedly, but I feel like some others oversimplify things and may lead people to the wrong conclusion. There is strategy and tactics to Frontlines that a lot of people overlook for a variety of reasons, but teams that win are the ones that recognize them consciously or subconsciously.

Disappointed that "Let them fight" wasn't thrown in there to really get the wins going.
