Killing Thordan after Aetheric Burst removes party shields

Steps:
1. Reach phase 2 where Thordan comes in
2. Do mechanics up to Aetheric Burst
3. Use an ability that applies shields, like Divine Veil or Succor
4. Wait for Thordan to finish casting Aetheric Burst
5. Kill Thordan

Shields will be removed by the Aetheric Burst animation, despite no damage going out.

I don't know if this is related, but the Battle log shows "King Thordan readies Aetheric Burst.", but not when he casts/uses it.
