FFVII Anniversary needs a crossover event

Got an email yesterday about the anniversary of one of Final fantasy's most loved installments and saw that SE is going all out on the celebrations.
Statuettes, cross over events in other multi player games etc

So im left wondering, Why does FFXIV never take part in something i know people would REALLY enjoy?
Is SE such a small indie company they wont spare the budget to put anything into this game as well despite doing it for their others?
I know the 25th isn't as big as a milestone as the 20th, but they didn't even do one for that.
I feel like the only addition that ever seems to get any real love when it comes to FFXIV is FFIV.
Yes i haven't forgotten that Knights of the Round, Goldsaucer and the Weapons are in game, Im talking about something more direct however, like we had with FFXIII and FFXV's crossover's.

Even the 15 event really only came once the hype around it was over and put on life support by its retcons DLCs. Same as NieR Automata's Alliance raids.

It does take Square a while to do things, likely because they plan this game way in advance, and by the time they're able to squeeze in something people liked, the hype around it is over.

I'm hoping next year with the Remake's second episode being released (and the re-release of Crisis Core and the entire Compilation's mobile adapation Ever Crisis) that may give the intiative to finally add a FFVII Crossover special event here in FFXIV... but... nothing has been stated (Yoshi is on record stating his personal favourite FF game is FFVII, so... there is hope yet).

I admit though I just want Aeris Aerith's original FFVII outfit as glamour for my WHM, if I can have that I'll be a very happy miqo'te.

One might be nice, but what would that even be? What would we get? We already have some items from that game.

The team seems very much committed to sticking to XIV only this expansion and working on things like future-proofing. Aside from new seasonal goodies, I don't see them doing any kind of new crossover anytime soon.

I feel like this community would very much appreciate getting Tifa's blue dress from FFVII Remake. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Maybe a Combat Simulator event on both ends? Like some kind of inter-dimensional event connecting both worlds via that... Or whatever, they can come up with something, it's high fantasy anyway.

As for the rewards... as far as outfits, we only have Cloud AC and his hairstyle ( limited availablity). They could put Tifa, Aerith, original Cloud, Barret... even Turk suits would be really nice. And their hairstyles to match.

In commenting above about asking if SE wont provide funding, im left suddenly wondering something, in this game we seem to always bee 'behind' on features, or missing content, or content that needs fix's and updates (Viera/Hroth hair and hats? Them mostly being done unpaid in free time?), and its left me starting to wonder.... is this a funding issue?
Or are we getting excuses not too support the game beyond what their single player games get? Or some other reason?

Im starting to feel lately that we are being told its 2+2 and the answer is 6 when it should be 4 on why things are the way they are.

A crossevent exclusive to PS4/PS5 players
Then reoccurs later but watch out! It's exclusive to players with Epic-accounts only.
Years later, it will be available to the rest of us, but guess what? It's only part 1 of the event!

I have no use for VII, but it would be funny if we got a fashion accessory that's Sephiroth's sword poking through our middle.
