May 31st was only the "buy the game" cut off date. It's NOT a cutoff for the paying for game time.

Those who input their FINAL FANTASY XIV-registration code (ie: CD Key or equivilant) by the 31st of May as well as pay the subscription for 90 days in advance after the end of the free trial period will fulfil the pre-requisites for the Legacy Campaign.

The german rep also makes an important point: If you've posted on these forums before June 1st, you've already met the requirement to have an account registered by the 31st.

No. the 31st was the cutoff date to register a copy of the game. It doesn't matter how much you pay SE now, if you registered on June 1st or later, you cannot qualify for legacy. Please don't spread misinformation.

Maybe you think we'll be playing 2.0 in 3 months or something, but that's not even accurate by the timeline.

You can pay for 90 days ANYTIME between now and then, the date was probably the latest possible date to register and pay monthly.

I can say that for sure, because SE said so:

In order to fulfill the requirements for the Legacy Campaign, a player must register his/her copy of the game no later than Thursday, May 31, 2012, and have subscribed for a minimum of 90 days beyond the conclusion of your free trial period.

There are two conditions, and you must meet both. If you have registered your copy of the game, you have as much time as you need between now and 2.0 to pay for 90 days of game time. Otherwise, you're SOL. You can no longer become a legacy member UNLESS you bought/registered the game prior to june 1st.

So: If your registration date is june 1st or later, you cannot become a legacy member.

Pretty much everybody on this forum meets the game registration condition, because you have to have a game account to post on the forum.

I can confirm that if you registered the game before May 31st but haven't paid for the months you can still receive Legacy Status.

My free month ran out on May 25th 2012, I decided to cancel my account after that so it wasn't active on May 31st.

Today (June 4th 2012) I went in and reactivated my account and paid for 3 months (after May 31st), several hours later my account was converted into a Legacy account.

Ok, so I registered on May 26th, I am still using my 30 day free period and I have just today, June 6th, Registered for 90 days.
From reading this thread, I can conclude that I WILL be in Legacy status, correct? If so when will I be receiving email/confirmation that I have been registered for Legacy?
