Make Crafting Gear "All Classes" Again?

I'd like my gathering gear to all be usable in one set instead of hogging up my armory chest with separate sets :/

No they shouldn't don't need a tank in full crafting gear and being the healer trying to keep them alive. Then get blamed because they keep dying from it.

If there is a way to lift the glam restrictions without allowing battle classes to actually equip the gear then yes please. I'd love for that to be able to be done. But please no, do not let battle classes equip them ever again. As others have said, it was done to prevent people not only easily farming materia but also cheesing ilvl requirements by equipping it or just not knowing that there is a difference and thinking it works for battle classes.
