Make Crafting Gear "All Classes" Again?

Just as the title suggests, I've noticed that there's been a shift for crafting gear. I believe the change started to occur in Stormblood (feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong), but in ARR and Heavensward, crafting gear used to be accessible to all classes for both stats and glamour uses alike (mostly for glamour uses, lbvs). As of now, this is no longer the case.

I'm wondering if the dev team has noted anywhere why this change was made? There's a lot of crafting gear that's come out over the course of the last few expansions that I would love to have as glamours on battle classes (AF crafting gear included), and I would love to possibly see this change reversed.

Mind you, if they have good reason for why they went back to restricting it I might be willing to concede, I was mostly just curious. Thanks for reading!

Good point, I remember that being a MAJOR thing prior to Stormblood xD

Outside of people flooding the marketboard with said materia (as they often end up doing anyways depending on the server), I just want the ability to glam these items again. xD

Is this really an issue with how easily people farm scrips and flood the market with materia anyways though?

I just make it usable by crafters and gatherers respectively only, like combat gear *Shrugs* "DOH only, DOL only" etc

For better or for worse, crafting gear skins often eventually become available for DoW/M via later-expansion crafted gear or new glamours. Or vice versa.

The poncho set is a good example of gear getting this treatment.

Hard no on AF crafting gear unless crafters/gatherers will get the ability to glam AF battle gear.

I don't want sprouts wearing them at dungeon... I had a trauma back in ARR about WHM on Stone Vigil who wears a combination of crafter and gatherer's gear...

I'd like my gathering gear to all be usable in one set instead of hogging up my armory chest with separate sets :/
