WoW has them, They start at low health, which you can raise by healing. The only thing they're missing is clusters of them for trying AOE heals.
Trusts work for healing practice, but only at low levels where I don't have all my abilities.

I don't really get it... can't you just target yourself? Why do you need a dummy for healing?
Larek Darkholme @ Ragnarok
Considering that healers heal for about 1% of their GCDs it may be easier for the training dummy to do simulated damage to you and you heal that.
I want to heal more but I have given up on that battle as it’s a lost cause.
Until they add more healing requirements, were green DPS.
TBH You *really* don't need a practice dummy for healing when you can heal someone from 1 HP to full HP in roughly 3-4 GCDs (Or if you're WHM, one Benediction)
The only healer exclusive dummy I wanted to have was a Living Dead dummy... until they add a built in HP recovery to DRK's Walking Dead.
It'd be counterproductive. The role has zero to do with putting heals on target, but registering every single incoming mechanic and processing how to influence that specific fight. Every situation has any number of methods for anything. The hardest mechanic to cope with is the likelihood that someone at random TLR raids and hasn't the willpower and/or maturity to recognize that it takes more than luck to accomplish things. It's more of a benefit to practice in real time while asking for help, browsing the social media channels, and consecutive practice. Throwing heals on a deadweight dummy just to see the quantity of healing teaches nothing. The real lessons come from perseverance through failure and embarrassment.
There are but a million paths in which one may walk, but all may be reduced to one. Improve thyself.
Why? Im pretty sure in 7.0 healers are just gonna be replaced by tanks anyways. You only need to heal about 0.37% of the time and mostly just OGCDs.
just make a more complex SSS setup and have healer instances also throw up a dummy "tank" so you can pracice timing your heals between like card draws for AST or seeing what you can do with toxicon stacks on SGE. this new version of SSS would throw out basic mechanics like random AOEs, cleaves, etc... not the best alternative to a real fight but something to at least make you move so you have to think a bit more outside of doing your rotation perfectly for the time period. forcing DPS to disengange and reengage, casters to think about slide casting and using instant casts, i guess you could throw in tankbusters to help teach weaving DRs mid burst windows for tanks etc...
I think they prefer being called Tanks.
I'm not sure what a healing dummy would help with? It's relative to each person, for some people most of the difficulty in healing comes with learning how to weave heals while DPSing and evading mechanics, not sure how a dummy can help with that- with the exception perhaps of practicing slidecasting.
If it's to get used to any distance limitations, there's that too. other than than healer rotations are so simple, it's not like DPS or even tank rotations where DPS dummies really help building muscle memory.
