While I was crafting in Maelstrom command, my FFXIV updater suddenly popped up and froze my game.
After a few seconds, this happened.
Not quite sure what was going on here but... it was perfectly playable in this state.

That is strange.
But a persistent graphics glitch that's been pissing me the f off since release is the poor refresh rate of ground textures when you're moving.
Reinstall. That is probably the only thing to fix that.
You mean you see the landscapes details refreshing as you move? Like in the distance? Yup, happens, should be fixed by DX11 at 2.0.
No, the ground textures beneath your feet. You get a line of noise that travels up your screen from the bottom.
Not sure if it's LCDs that are affected or any specific video card, since I don't have a lot of hardware to test with.
Like I said, it might only affect certain hardware.
But it's most definitely a problem with dx9 or the refresh rate of the textures. The problem goes away during cutscenes, when I stop moving, or on other games.
