I'm on ATT fiber. I just loaded up my VPN and now I'm not getting the packet loss.
The problem is still with NTT though. Using my VPN I'm just going into their network though a different route is all.
Yup, I'm on at&t in the southeast. But the issue isn't with at&t, it's with how ntt is routing traffic that comes from at&t.

Yes and after having moved remotely recently I currently do not have access to ethernet so I'm on mobile... through ATT. Been lagging for the last 5 hours at least.

Aight, YoshiP, you asked for reports. By God your gonna get reports. Everybody, flood their form with Traceroute data:
Sharing Information Regarding Network Delay and Packet Loss for FFXIV
It's NOT AT&T. The issue doesn't start until we're INSIDE NTT's network.
Although I do find it incredibly strange most if not all of us (myself included) are using AT&T, I'm still inclined to agree with Freedom4556 here. As was the case the last three times this has happened to me, the problem nodes have always been among the NTT nodes at the very end of the route. My connection is flawless until it gets handed over to NTT's servers. No other website, game, or program that relies on Internet has any issue whatsoever.
In the past I only had to deal with it for a few hours during prime time (~9PM-12AM EDT) before it would resolve, however yesterday started early afternoon and lasted well into the night. This time is also unique in that it's not just extremely high ms, it's also unplayable amounts of packet loss when trying to do any sort of group content. If I do nothing but gather and craft by myself I can still "play" the game with a lovely 220 ms. Nothing like paying $13 a month for a single-player game on 200+ms.![]()
