WAR's kind of unweildy in dungeons now that the cone is gone - I'd recommend drk to have an easier time handling mobs.
Paladin is probably the most difficult to play well because of all the weird optimisations that simply aren't present in other tanks. Both of the tanks that are available from level 1 are easy to pick up and learn. They don't get that much harder going into the late game, either. If anything, the harder to learn tanks are probably DRK and GNB, with DRK being the one that is the most difficult to play due to having a lot of bloat in their kit. Gunbreaker is fun and sort of plays like a melee dps / tank hybrid, though it does have some rather interesting "clipping" issues on some skills.

Thanks all. I'll try Warrior. Mara was already being level before. I'm not aiming for high end. Duties and MSQ mostly. But as stated, I'm a dps main in games. So nervous of course. More so for tank switching in trials. lol.

WAR is a Tank/DPS/Healer inside of one job
DRK trades off survivability for bigger burst DPS
PLD/GNB have terrible rotations

Yes, the DRK has a Burst DPS opener, then it normalizes out
It definitely has way too many oGCDs

They were talking rotations and you come here and link the DRK opener which is frankly not even that bad when you look at GNB's opener:
Tank anxiety can take a good while to go away for someone that's not used to tanking and by 50 it's likely still going to be there, but if tanking isn't for you then that's fine. Not every roles are fun for everybody. Some people pick up on tanking easier than others.Update I guess.
After my journey in that other game and tied tanking there, I got War to lvl 50 here (dungeon spam). While I felt better about playing a tank, I still had tankxiety. Getting to 50, I brought some tomb gear and went did some trials and ally raid.
Tanking not for me. To much going on and to stressful for my liking. While everyone I met were awesome and nice, I freak out at my own self. Among other stuff that not to my liking. I decide not to continue.
Back to rdps I go. I tried.

Because that's not an opener, it's every burst window over 3 minutes. If you just look at the opener it has less double weaves and is a lot less spammy than DrK's opener. Sure the 3 minute Bloodfest + No Mercy is counterintuitive but I've complained about that on multiple occasions already.
What we need to compare here is just "The Pull" part of this graphics with DrK's opener, not the entire graphic.
If you want to compare rotations I don't think you have much of a leg to stand on either. GnB's rotation might looks complicated but all of these No Mercy windows naturally flow into each other by just pressing your abilities on cooldown, in reality it's really simple. Whereas DrK's 1 minute loop consists of 45 seconds of just pressing 1-2-3 with the occasional EoS to not overcap on MP and then 15 seconds of "spam every oGCD you have"

Defo absurd to say GNB is hard to learn ^
Would vote for GNB as easiest tank, easy rotation, early free healing with aurora, early gap closer so downsyncs well
Camouflage gives you extra CD whenever you need / want
Not the most indestructible but no.paper tiger either so a nice middle ground

I'm saying you were mentioning opener and this was about rotations, and while I misspoke about opener and meant to talk about GNB's rotation, I do think GNB's is more complex/involved than DRK considering movement and things like Continuation. So you come here to talk opener but the discussion was about rotations.Because that's not an opener, it's every burst window over 3 minutes.
