Controller Setting in game.

Not sure if it has been talked about yet or not, But in 2.0 will we be able to change controller setting in game on the fly. Mainly because today I just found out my X ( A button for Xbox ) button is starting to fail.
IE: starting to stick and have no bounce back
I was hoping to see this put in sooner but I’m sure it cant. This is the 2nd controller since Sep ‘10. This last controller Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 lasted from mid Dec 2011 till now.
But to get back to my point I would like to say swap in an old ps3 controller in during my crafting/mining times, then be able to quick switch over to a better controller Was thinking of switching my confirm/select button to my R1 button or change it up, but having to log in and out each time to change a key sucks.

Also add in for the players that have a controler unplug while playing beleave they need to log out of game to make 14 see it again. ( If not sorry I seen it in the tag quick adds while adding some.)

The X is not really failing it's only the controller rubber inside the controller you broke it and it getting stuck happen to me many times. You could always buy a new xbox 360 rubbers pads online and open your controller put a new one and it wont cost you 20-40$ for a new controller you can find them online for around 3$

Indeed I know that i noramly put super glue around the base where it starts to brake makes the button stiff and have bounce back lasts for a bit. But thanks ill look into buying new pads never though of that.

Along the lines of post though woudl like to see ingame controler settings changing

Yes i like for ingame controller setting that would be such a great idea

and no problem never thought about super glue o.o i just open up random controller i had and took there pads and put it on the controller it work but it always good to buy the real one online for your controller now that i have a xbox 360 controller if the pads fail on me i just but them for 3-4$ so it's better then wasting 25-40$ every time it fails 25-40 could get you over 2+years of pads

1) I enjoy Logitech stuff, last controller lasted 5 years ( till I started button smashing FF14 lol )
2) I'm a PS3 gamer, dont like the feel of xbox controler.

Also to what Soukyuu said about game restart from SE... i dont hodl my breath casue SE makes PC games ass backwords. Casue every other pc game lets you change controler settings ingame. Even the ones that arnt made for controllers casue as I said in OP i cant play with kb/mouse i map my controler to play games like Lord of the rings and Guild Wars so i can play with controller.

I remember them mentioning there will be more settings ingame except for those that require a game restart. So it's basically up to SE and their definition of what requires a client restart... we can hope I guess.

OT: lol@"better controller". My ps2 controller has served me well for over 10 years now, despite the occasional abuse... that's a "better controller" for me.

Unless you hate cords this is cheap and works perfectly. Used to be $10 when the game really stunk =P

Too bad I already figured out how to use my ps3 controller it looks cool... a little pointy though

for me the pads on it broke within a few months of used the d-pad and the X i think it better getting a 24$ xbox 360 wire controller from amazon like i did and if the pads break just buy them for 2-4$
