Stop arguing to take away a house from people who did nothing wrong whatsoever at the time they bought.
I would really like so see numbers about how many plots are grandfathered in. I bet its less then you think

Considering they put limitations on the system specifically because people purchased an entire ward makes me think they did something wrong.

And if Squeenix isn't going to solve this issue they can at least throw another bandaid on it by removing the grandfathered bullshit

What exactly is your definition of a grandfathered house? You do realize that people haven't been able to buy private houses with alts on the same server since 4.2 (about 4 years ago the rules were changed). How many of those do you think are there? FC abuse is another issue entirely and those don't come under the domain of grandfathered houses.

So to hit the person that amassed a ward you would harm a number of others who have like 1 grandfarhered house? And in the end it wouldnt free up much at all.
Also from the few screenshots i have seen, that person did it through fcs. Removing grandfathered houses wouldnt even hurt him

there are a lot of shell FC's just so they could own a house, but i don't care about that. Everything SE did over the years of just been abused by players because they have never made enough housing. I really think SE devs dont read this because they just keep effin it up. the only way to fix it is to either make unlimited wards, instanced housing, or so many wards any one who wants a house will be able to buy them. FFXIV is no longer restricted by PS3 and personnel housing was a selling point in this game for years, but for years they have purposely made it crappy. Right now on Gilgamesh Empyrean has 200+ plots all in 1-18, how stupid is that.

This was low key fun aside from losing a bit of my sanity, I liked how people showed up playing music, talking with each other, making friends. Its way better then the lottery.

Make FC housing per one account bind only to prevent shell FC. And FC can only have 1 bid.
