Yes. Put a stop to all those fake/shell FCs.

Nothing will stop those from being formed as long as having control of a FC improves access to the content the player is interested in.

They want access to a workshop? Then they need to be a FC officer since few FCs give all their members unrestricted access. That usually means starting your own FC.

They want access to a garden? Having a FC creates two (or more) chances to obtain a house in a lottery period instead of being limited to one.

SE needs to take a close look at how all players actually engage with content instead of assuming all players will automatically adhere to JP cultural norms.

Absofrigginglutely not. You don't need 6 people to enjoy an FC. I never have more online anymore now than 4 because people have stopped played. And my level 30 FC has been around and had a house for six years. If we're getting into talk of what FCs are entitled to exist, then my small FC has a lot more right to exist than any new FC that auto-invites people for numbers. This is not the way to stop shell FCs because not every small FC is a shell FC.

We don't need more restrictions for a system that is already too limited and largely restrictive by default.

I wouldn't call a 3 member requirement restrictive. That already exists, it just isn't checked ever again after a FC is created.

And what about the ability of alts to share a personal house? They talked about this in 4.2 saying they were looking into it and we're now 4 years later and nothing. I have 4 level 90 alts in my FC on Balmung along with some close personal friends. I have no interest in a personal house there given it's limited and doesn't let me access my own house with my own characters. I don't garden and even though I have a workshop we don't do anything with it currently.

No. I completely disagree. I'm on just about every night. I'm happy the FC is there for my friends who aren't on as frequently. My FC is designed for mostly solo players. We can join each other when we're online or do our own thing. We can log in when we feel like. There is zero pressure to join X or Y like we had in other FCs, or clique issues, and we get the benefits of an FC like storage or the buffs or gardening or airships/submarines. When we got smaller, we decided we didn't want to recruit heavily to build back up because we like it this way. And we're just as valid of an FC as any other out there.

It takes 3 now to make an FC but people can leave. And we should be free to find what fits for us with an FC in this game, not forced to stay in a situation we don't enjoy.

Getting absolutely sick of people suggesting that the privilege of having an FC house in this game belongs only to the most elite of FCs who have an arbitrary number of "active" members. Can't wait for even more "leveling" FCs that spam invite sprouts and Free Trial players who can't even join, force them into the FC, and hoard the house all to themselves while giving no other members rights. That crap already exists.

Do something about "shell" FCs. Stop screwing over people who did nothing besides exist in a small or dead FC.
