I just want to ask, where is your proof?
I will admit, it is possible for large and medium in the hand of RMT, but that is minor
This lottery, it is pretty much impossible
Any evidence to back up your statement?
Not gonna link the RMT housing resale website directly but it's not minor.
Quazii and other streamers have made multiple videos about RMT resale.
SE has also stated in patch notes, the lottery system, the 30 day period for FCs/ FC members and the other new restrictions put in place is partially a response to RMT resellers.
You think SE implemented all those changes because RMT housing resale is a minor issue?
With the lottery system, RMT resellers have multiple accounts/characters loaded with gil usually from botting in other parts of the game. They then bid on highly desirable mediums/larges.

Regardless of how bad the RMT resale problem within housing is, it would not exist at all if SE had used a system where every player could get the house of their choosing. Not gonna link the RMT housing resale website directly but it's not minor.

The moment some barrier to content access is placed, RMT will find a way to take advantage.
What I've never understood is why SE did not allow choice of apartment size from the start (I can understand the "we can't design it for upgrading what's already owned").
House interiors are already instanced so it shouldn't have been difficult. Copy those, flip the door to the back wall without the built in windows. When the player goes to buy an apartment, the Building Manager asks "what size", player picks size. If it means grouping apartments of the same size into different wings, that shouldn't be a problem. Studio (the current apartments) could be in the wings for rooms 1-90, small in rooms 101-190, medium in 201-290, large in 301-390.
Would players give up having a yard if it meant they never needed to worry about demolition? Many players would.
That's still not taking away the wards but it frees up houses for those who want a yard and are willing to risk demolition, who would actively garden and FCs.

Yes, Jojoya, I agree with your opinion on this issue. Whether it be a house or an apartment, the only thing that matters to me is having enough space to have multiple rooms without the place feeling claustrophobic. What I've never understood is why SE did not allow choice of apartment size from the start (I can understand the "we can't design it for upgrading what's already owned").

They should rather fix the housing system.
We can hope. Will they do it quickly though? That is the bigger question. All we can do is keep pushing them to sit down and do it! I hope they will.
Lottery, rather than being the bandaid, has just exposed the size of the wound, with so many people unhappy. That's not good!

Well the Eastern Market is fine with the Apt, the Western Market is trying to push their idea of the american dream house should be standard. And well that's when cultural differences of what both consider fine for a living space starts to appear. We can hope. Will they do it quickly though? That is the bigger question.
