This is incorrect, the most efficient payout is extravagant salvage which is sold to an NPC for fixed prices. However if Squenix decided to do this, they would probably lower the value or remove them. So in essence the same would happen I guess.If it's outdated content, then no one would want it and so it's pointless to increase access.
Of course, they aren't outdated. They are still relevant and so still useful.
Keep in mind that giving everyone access would decrease value of many of the items, impacting what makes them desirable in the first place. Is having a workshop going to be worth the millions of gil and months of effort when the items you get from voyages end up selling for 500 gil on the marketboard (which we've already seen happen at times with a few of the items unique to voyages) and house skins are selling for less than the materials needed to make them are worth?
Personally, I don't care if SE were to decide to do it but I imagine most players wanting that personal access would end up extremely disappointed in the result if they got it.
