Suggestion: combine trusts and squadrons.

The trust AI means that taking squadrons through dungeons is now an outdated and clunky system. However squadrons in general aren't content worth abandoning imo and it's high time the players were able to unlock the highest ranks in their grand company above captain. The ARR trusts seem pretty generic so it could be cool if the player was able to bring their handpicked squadron members into MSQ dungeons as they go through the story, but this time with the trust AI. This could come with an extension of squadron eligible dungeons through stormblood. So you can basically level up alongside your own personal NPCs until you can party up with the scions. If they wanted to though they could also have them as trusts for all dungeons eventually. The extension to StB dungeons should come with higher GC ranks and more lucrative squadron mission rewards. Right now they aren't super worth doing.

Other than the first 3 dungeons, you're technically being joined by Scion members in dungeons (though not the named Scion members).

Not every player has the same Squadron setup, which could make it difficult to implement into Duty Support.

If I remember right, SE said that it has plans for what they want to do with Squadrons once all MSQ dungeons are updated for Duty Support. It wouldn't make sense to get rid of Squadrons completely since there are 2 GC ranks plus several emotes currently tied to Squadron content.

Squadrons are also a lot better for a lot of dungeons due to all the damage bonuses they get

I would love to bring my squadron to more dungeons. I feel a lot more emotionally attached to them than I do about the Scions... sad I know.

I really would love to level up by squadron to level 90 and to take them with me.
