Stay strong. Keep the faith. At duty's end, we will meet again. We will. We will.Honestly, I'm pretty much done trying to argue with Sylphies and Ice Mages for more engagement on healers or more gameplay in general that rewards playing well. The game isn't for me anymore, the developers don't want me and I've accepted it.
I've been doing what Yoshida said and playing other games and instead of the break renewing my interest in FF14 over time, it's actually killing it. There are some great games out there with actual challenge and after being treated like I have a functioning brain and being rewarded for it, I just can't force myself to come back here to faceroll Expert for tomes I don't care about or spend 1 minute flying over to an elephant and moving a crate 20 yards for my daily. Nor can I be bothered carrying awful players through content by playing my best in return for being resented as a filthy elitist.
There's just no point. I literally only play FF14 for Savage raids and to run my FC now. That's it.
;_;

I would like to think so but this seems to be the cycle of death every MMO has gone through, it either breaks it's balance or goes full scorched earth on it's classes. Personally, XIV isn't even the worst offender when it comes to this sort of thing. Sony online Entertainment has a special place in hell for how they made EQ and EQ2 into a pay for power MMO while EQoA was taken to the back of the shed and "dealt with" when Frontiers came out. No Smedly, i'm not going to farm 120 CMs for my SK's pet that dies to a sneezed AoE before it gives me my hot 25+ CR and DR while War gets 100 resistances across the board for the same amount of CMs while at the same time new raids became nothing more than a test to see how many resistances your tank needs to roll to not die to a single quad hit. No, i'm not bitter or anything SoE. By the way, how is your "daybreak" coming along SoE? ;^)
