    I feel like they could of kept complexity if they added "training simulators" that showed people how to do rotations in game, maybe add an instance for this based on role type, I realize they have one for training bosses on a timer, but that doesn't explain your rotation. I think between their AI and UI FFXIV would be really good at this.

    the issue is no one would still use it unless basically forced. and the people who already sandbag teams and do practically nothing would just do whats needed to pass and then go back to doing nothing is the issue what really needs to happen is encounter/fight design to change to actually punish and force people to wake up zodiark normal is a great example of this with the starfall and rotation mechanics for example

    What? Where did you get this idea from?? Nowhere have they ever said anything like "oh no we've made it too hard, never again" or nothing of the sort.

    What they did say is that DSR is the hardest Ultimate, harder even than Ucob with many different elements to it. And Yoshi himself was surprised when the WF clear came out one or two days before they were expecting it. He was amazed at these player's increasing skill level compared to when Ucob came out and mentioned it would be difficult to make equally challeging content for these improving players every time.

    That's it. It has nothing to do with "saying no too much" to DSR difficulty level.

    I don’t get why this is the case for so many people. When I found that I was actually performing like ass compared to skilled players, I took it as determination to do some labbing, practice my opener and get it down to muscle memory, rearrange my hotbar for the most comfortable possible configuration so I can take my mind off of it during raid, gearing crafters to make my own crafted prog gear, and find a chill static to raid for 5.4. I wanted to be good so I put in the time to be good, and I became good! Why not think of things that way instead of being defeatist and/or getting offended by the knowledge that you have room to improve? If you don’t care then more power to you! But if you do care, you can get better if you set your mind to it! And you’ll eventually find that things you thought were super hard really aren’t.

    Unfortunately it seems far too many lack the propensity to look at things that way, enough to make SE think the right option is to make things so easy you can breathe and do comparable damage to top tier players. It’s really quite depressing.

    Stormblood should have been the finality of homogenization. After that has been an unnecessary and detrimental to the game, as it promotes laziness and entitlement within the playerbase, rather then working hard for what you want.

    You want to see the rest of the MSQ? Well, buck up and get to improving yourself.

    There are also people all over this game that actively are willing to help players improve in all aspects of this game, too. Oh, and also guides online.

    Also, read your dam tool tips! Its not that hard to READ, PRACTICE AND LEARN!!!

    I also wish for combat to be more evolved. I miss (de)buffs or slash/pierce or whatever it was.

    On one hand SE caters to casuals who want to relax so everything must be easily accessible while also appeasing the hard core crowd who worship FFLogs, so we get homogeneous jobs. One side brings money, they other clicks on Twitch which means money. There is no middle ground anymore.
