It's the same story on reddit - Steam players have the error, and the direct ones don't. I am noticing QUITE an absence of players in game now, too.

After review the account status on the mogstation I saw that the suscription ends, even having inside the game days to play.
I pay 90 days suscription now, but unable to login

Apparently the Steam Summer Sale started and their servers are currently having a long spasm as it tries to sort through all the purchases that people are making.

likely whats happening is the steam authentication that's required for steam tethered accounts isn't being processed by their servers which boots out the error to our detriment.

Yeah apparently someone else mentioned, due to the Steam Summer Sale slowing down the store, it screws with Steam trying to work with the FF XIV Launcher. So you get that message infinitely. We can't do anything until Valve fixes it on their end cause I don't see how SE would fix it other than yelling at Valve. I wonder if this affects other MMOs tied to Steam like SWTOR and ESO with their linked accounts.
