Yeah it always was.
Yeah it always was.
Tbh I care a lot more about single target rotations, I am just totally indifferent to these changes.
Oh... lol. Well, for those who miss cones, feel free to play MCH. We have conal shotgun, conal crossbows, conal poison and conal (mostly useless) flamethrower.
I dunno if I should think of my class as an anachronism seeing how the game evolves...
The nail that stands out gets hammered in!
Or something similarly witty! ^^
With cone it were often an issue of hitting all your targets, especially if they were large because they would push each other to the side and out of your cone.
I did get used to cone AoE for WAR but it made it difficult if someone pulled ahead of me in dungeons, but I prefer circle AoE over cone for WAR. No comment for SAM as I don't play it.
The cone was clumsy on WAR and SAM. The fact that they combo'd into circle attacks seemed silly. If those attacks were standalone OGCDs, it would be a different story.
I never paid it much mind on SAM, but on MNK it was pretty bad because of the faster gcd + line ogcd with two of the combos being circle and the last a cone.
What's wrong with a cone AoE? Well, the fact that it doesn't come topped with an ice cream.![]()
Mortal Fist
Hmm...
Haven't used AOE combo in about 6 months. Busy working on the savage tier, and haven't touched dungeons on my WAR at all.
Ok I can't say I never did....I used AOE combo during P3S for the adds. But I had NO issues adjusting from standing with the adds in a line....to being between the adds....
Honestly....The cone sucked. My personal opinion could go either way...don't really care.
But if I would pick one....circle.
