Opening FC wards to personal

Will you do it and when?

I ask that, because we have 18 wards devoted to FC's and only 4 go to players that want a personal.

I play on Diabolos, I can't say what its like on other words, but when you go looking for a house to buy or relocate, it discourages you to see that everything is taken up on the personal wards and when you look at the FC wards, there are many still open.

I go over to the Emporium and see that there are many plots on the FC wards still open and none on the personal and that's just one housing are, I see, not the same amount of open plots in the Goblet, but still there open.

So I ask again, when will you allow personal homes be made on FC wards?

Same situation on Behemoth, at least as far as Empyreum is concerned. There are almost no available personal plots, and the FC wards are... desolate. It's really depressing.

Had I known that the housing was going to wind up this way, I never would have voted for our FC to move to the Empyreum. It's just too depressing here.

If the dev teams goal for making housing this way is to have a little "community" in each ward, why don't they also implement features that foster that sort of community? Like the ability to give new residents a gift of some sort after X amount of time of acquiring a new plot? Kind of a play on how neighbors in real communities would drop by a new neighbors house to give them welcoming gifts. Little things like that.

The way housing is currently set up just doesn't really make sense to me.

I'm hopeful that the upcoming Island Sanctuary will be similar in a lot of ways to how ESO does housing, where you basically have a space to do almost anything you want and are able to upgrade your house and surrounding space and decorate it however you like and invite friends over.

As a newer player, this could be a good fix if Island Sanctuary is what we hope it is.

I have more than enough to purchase a mid-sized lot on Famfrit, but bid on a small... the lone mid-sized plot in LB had 323 bidders on results day. That's 0.3% of a chance for each player. Fair in terms of everyone having equal shot? Sure. But what about the remaining 322 bidders?

To make matters worse, there are shell FCs/multiple people that own half a ward or two in the Goblet and they are blatantly obvious. This needs to be addressed if they want "fairness".

I don't understand computer tech; didn't SE pull EW from shelves to make more server space for new players? If they have the time and money to do so, and everything is instanced as people are quick to point out, why can't they do the same for housing?

This NEEDS to happen. FC wards are ghost towns, meanwhile I lost the lottery on the last "personal" medium house on the entire server (all wards, all cities) this morning. Even aside from that, there were only 3 or 4 smalls available anywhere too. They had it totally backwards, the first 18 wards should've been personal, and the last 6 for FCs. Clearly FC housing is not NEARLY as in demand as they thought, and also having that many FC wards just encourages people to make useless FCs just to bid on a house there.

On Phoenix today : (was checking, wondering if I may put some housing articles on the MB for the lucky winners ; short answer : it wasn’t worth the pain)

500ish FC plots available, with no bids on the small ones, 50ish bids on the couple of M available. So imo that means that FC are quite settled now, appart relocating for a bigger house.

8 plots available for the entire server.
Average 90 bids on small and more than 200 on the 4 M available.

So yes please, open the damn FC ward to individuals!

Pretty much all the smalls are untouched on my server in Empyreum, barring a few. Out of the last lottery we got... One new neighbor.
Looking at the older wards there are also other smalls that the previous occupants moved from, but since they are locked to FC only they sit there as well. Feel like making the other wards also fc only for most of them was completely unnecessary...
