It's not our fault people are stupid. We should be able to change eye color and basically everything else related to our existing race at the aesthetician. Fantasia should only be race/sex change, but I know there's more idiots out there willing to spend money just to change their eye color than smart, reasonable people who won't... so this'll likely never happen. Corporate greed and player stupidity.

Not more necessarily, but enough for them to justify keeping it like it is for sure. Sadly a lot of "this is why we can't have nice things" going around the gaming world these days, from people in NA paying full price for digital games for no benefit to them, to people in Asia throwing away all their money on gacha games. Scalpers too - they wouldn't be so prevalent if there weren't so many people willing to pay their 500% markups. Corporate greed is constant, it would be nice if fellow customers could help each other out by not enabling it.

You should be able to change everything at the barbershop except maybe race. It's a world with magic, who cares.

That's your answer right there. Have you seen the dead-eyed horror that elezen suffer if you use too light a shade? (Of course not, nobody plays elezen). It not something you'll notice in the awful lighting in the character creator and probably not until you've gone through a few well lit cutscenes. Then you can't stop seeing it.

Thankfully I get two free fantasias per alt, the one for finishing ARR proper and another for the HW(?) CE so I can make those corrections without having to pay for something that should have been in the base game to begin with. I did change a few other things on that alt while I was exorcising her death gaze. Same with a miqo alt were I wasn't happy with the tail style.

I really do hope Square relents and adds the option to change eye color. I went a bit overboard with the heterochromia and inflicted the Allagan Eye on a few others. Nothing I can't live with but annoying that it'll cost a fantasia to adjust.

It sounds silly from a lore perspective. Would the Aesthetician gouge your eyes out and replace them with different colored ones?

I've used a fantasia just on eye color before. Usually I just go with neutrality (brown/blue) but this time I wanted a specific thing. I feel like eye color may be a little more important to Lalafell Dunesfolk than some others though. This race has the giant saucer eyes with the sheen to it afterall.

But yeah, I'd like this added too but it's unlikely, they usually only add features to salons/barbershops in games that don't see much paid activity.

Like Blizzard tried to make a deal out of allowing gender change but it wasn't because they were kind, it was entirely because no one ever paid for the service.
