6.2 Hrothgar Update

What gave the impression I wanted miqo'te 2.0? Femhroth will already come out just as bad off as male hroth if they have their 'unique' animal heads. For that matter, even if they didn't have those animal heads, they'd probably still come out looking off, considering the ported hair to male viera having gigantic foreheads, God forbid we talk about headgear. I feel like even if femhroth had a more humanlike head, there would still be some excuse on why they can't do headgear for them.

If you want my real, personal, opinion on femhroth. At this point, they are pretty much obligated to release them, but I wish they had never set the precedent with male viera. Neither male viera or female hrothgar should have come out until after they maybe could have fixed how they fit and add gear, hairstyles, etc. Really, at this point, I don't think female viera or male hrothgar should have come out at all. They should have just focused on the races we had. The game would be in a better state without any of the limited races in the game.

Well...yes they are obligated, they flat out said "Dont worry, they are coming" so...anything less and they look like huge liars, and even a Hopelessly optimistic supporter like me would just turn heel against them. And not just because Im not getting my Precious FemHroths, but because they said they were doing it..and then decided not to. Dont tell me your gonna do it, and then dont.
I both agree but disagree, they should have at least waited till they had stuff figured out...but no, giving us at least a beast race is nice and smart, considering people love to spout more options is good. And till now we didnt have a truely different option for a Player Avatar. (Most of) The Competition has a Beast Race, FFXIV didnt have one.

If they are going to be a beast race, I agree that they should look like beasts, as in the features. I do not think they should be as muscular as males however, that would really put me off, personally. I'd rather have them slimmer, but fit. Like I muscular Khajiit or something (features).

That is a quote of mine from 2019. Believe it or not, I actually like a little bit of continuity. Miqo'te 2.0 would look weird (said so earlier in this thread as well) to me. I can personally prefer a certain look, while also acknowledging that it would probably be more popular if they went a different direction for the design. Similarly, I did say I think viera would be more popular if they were able to be shorter, I personally like them with their current height ranges. When I talk about something I typically look at it from multiple angles. It's the same reason I would like to see tail and ear support for races such as miqo'te or au ra, for example. These are a core piece of their racial design. I might not like the clipping, but I don't think simply cutting them off is a solution to that problem. No, I don't think they should look like miqo'te 2.0.

Back then, I was more in support of the addition of viera/hrothgar and their missing counterparts. I was a lot more naive, and I had believed Yoshida at his word. I sat there for months, then years, hoping for an update for viera, and that hrothgar would see their fantasia issue resolved. I optimistically wanted the shared hairstyles, since players paid for many of them with real money. I never had it in my mind the reality of the situation, and how low quality the hair would truly end up looking. Female viera and male hrothgar upon their release may have been sustainable to maintain their patch schedule, but after covid, and the addition of male viera, team members being moved over to that other FF, female hrothgar on the horizon. All I see now is how many more compromises will have to be made to sustain these races. Most likely less hairs for everyone, less outfits, etc. It's just not worth it. I agree that a beast race adds variety, but I don't think it was worth the cost at the time. I guess you could say that I am 'jaded' about the whole situation at this point.

This isn't to be discussed here in the first place... This is a Thread, as Previously stated for discussion of what can be added in 6.2, and what we hope to get in 6.2. Female hrothgar have a thread and it's Here if you wish to show your support. We should try to avoid derailing the subject too much, else we won't get any changes done.

I don't deny that there are probably like three people who are super hyped for femhroth. Like reivaxe was saying, I think a lot of people do assume they will look like that, and that's why they don't have any interest, besides the fact of them being a furry race.

i main males, so femhroths will be the only thing that could keep me fulltime as a female char

Honestly, at this point I think the main thing we're hoping for is acknowledgement, something a bit more elaborate than just "head hard, ear hard, no time, soz", and actual proper planning for the future.

Not expecting, hoping. Because if we expect anything, we might as well sit and wait until Hell freezes over.

The character I paid for and am using to access your content is not only designed like buttocks, your content and the lore behind it is lazily done! Like, whatever, "theres more to the game than player race its not that important" blah blah blah but that crap always comes from people playing races that dont have to sit and wonder if they'll get anything this patch or event or mogstation outfit or whatever else and its so annoying.
"Just fantasia" okay, and, what, incentivize the devs to never bring this race out of DELTA dev? (Beta would be a blessing lmao lets not kid ourselves beta means mostly finished not, 3 years later still cant wear an entire gear slot or use in game items to alter their appearance)

ON TOPIC, a summary of what I would sure sure appreciate from 6.2 PLL(s)
- Tell Hrothgar whats up without pussyfooting around it. Tell us we're getting something and when not "some time maybe in the future". If you can make all the new stuff fit every other race it can be made to fit hrothgar.
- Actually update us in 6.2. Rainmaker is one of the best hair options in the game, Viera got it in 6.1, it was massively requested to be brought back, please make it fit hrothgar WITH ears attached.
- Show whatever new gear drops from Pandaemonium 2 with Hrothgar and Viera in whatever class would get the hats. I assume we arent getring boring visors again. And I cannot tell you how happy the playerbase would be to have a REAL hat. Not stuff that barely is visible in Runar hair styles, hats that actually fit around our head like every other race gets.
- Please include more mogstation items as being made to fit. Hats or hair, take your pick. But it is just awful that you charge players for gear or hair they cant use and do not offer purchase options at lower costs missing those items.

All of this is perfectly achievable. No one is asking for anyones kidney, no one is asking for an expense paid trip to an island paradise, there are no hostages, so it shouldn't be this hard to make the game work for all your players. Everything in the game. Like the other 6 races get no questions asked.

Thank you for saying this... getting a little tired about discussion over things that aren't even the subject of this thread.

I know I contribute to it, it just kind of happens when its brought up.
But really, just ignore it if you dont care, and it eventually dies, like it just did. Talking about it and complaining about it only continues it.
Anyway, moving foreword

So, Im not holding my Breath that anything Hrothgar related will be said or mentioned, Im pretty confident that its just gonna be about the Next Raid tier and the new Casual content.
Be really nice if we got something for the Hrothgar, but Im just gonna project Hrothgar wont see anything till...maybe One Full Year at this time.
I think thats when they should start prepping us for the Next Expansion with all the new Bells and Whistles, and I sadly think thats when We will finally get Senpais Blessings.

Fingers crossed, Lots of luck that we see stuff before then, hopefully Next Friday's LL could be a surprise.
