tbh this is why I said I didn't give up. Because yeah, we won't have anything. They don't deem us to be anything worth their time, and they've shown that. So expecting them to do anything right in the future is like wishing on a shooting star.

But then people can't hide behind white knighting and praise the devs for every single factor. They are choosing to ignore a portion of their playerbase for absolutely no reason other than "oops, we made a race that was a bit harder to deal with :x"
And that won't stop me from calling those people out.

It's irresponsible, no matter how few of us there are. Because we didn't ask for this race, they were the ones who wanted it in. So why punish us to care for stuff they added to the game? Next time there's a dungeon, an ultimate or whatever, why should I feel compelled to enjoy it? So that they ignore it when people have feedback about it? Great attitude from a development team.

More fuel for the fire: When Alphinauds HW attire dropped on the shop, it cut off aura and miqote tails. They complained. Very loudly. And the same day it dropped it was hotfixed to allow their tails again (idk about hrothgar tails bc no hroth bought it anyway bc it comes with a hairstyle you cant use, because of course).
Meanwhile the entire community mocked the "ears are hiding in hair" comment, told Yoshi via youtube vids or comments on twitter that that sucks a fat load of eggs, and...yknow I checked every subpatch in 6.1, every hotfix, and not once did they give us ears on our new styles. Even Snows. Which not only costs money, but very clearly shows Miqote and Viera boys NOT getting ears lobbed off on the online purchase page.

So yeah. Anyone thinking we're getting anything in 6.2 when they cant even fix hair that costs extra money to own is more delusional than anyone in the looney bin who believes they're an eggplant.

I mean yeah, my Server has lots of Hrothgar in it compared to the Male Viera, but do we (Remember I have an Alt) really outnumber to competition that had WAAAAAYYY more attention brought to it?

Zanarkand, this is FFXIV Census. It's pooled from the Lodestone, meaning it's global. This is the result you get from all the active accounts in the game regardless of datacenter or region. Only if you scroll down do you get more nuanced data based on stuff like that. But for the races, it's a global result, it's not discriminating between worlds.

Yes. We outnumber "the competition". We barely, BARELY do, but the numbers are there: Hrothgar currently outnumber Male Viera.

And I know what many will say. "Oh but this is old data", no it bloody isn't, Endwalker was released only half a year ago, the numbers may be large but they're somewhat stable to make a census.

And keep in mind what ronibosch said: Hrothgar would be higher had Square Enix made the race properly to begin with. They've been giving it bad press on conception and turning many away from it. AND YET we outnumber Male Viera at the moment.

I don't care if Male Viera got that many players on such short notice: it was hyped to hell so of course it would. But the fact remains that Square made that race for the people who asked, and as it stands? They don't outnumber us. THEY are the true 2%, not us. Yet they came out right (within reason). And they didn't get dismissed or handwaved with the world's worst, trashiest hairstyle announcement that would make a L'Oreal advert look like a million bucks!
