/ popcorn / popcorn / popcorn( note, i got a medium during the initial ishgard rush so this isnt me losing and then complaining)
Having the retroactive decision of wards 1-18 be FC only was silly to start, but ishgard has this for many wards were M/L are taken but almost all the smalls are availabe, heres ward1 subdevision Faerie.
Simple As, smalls are virtually too small for guildes and most are avoiding it since they can pull money for bigger, there will always be more individual players than fcs.
In other news if u want a house just quit your current and make a dummy FC i guess, all you can eat in that regard.
It feels sad seeing so much of my Ishgard FC housing ward empty even after all this time. I hope SE is aware of this issue.
FCs have had plenty of chances, it's time to open up the remaining plots for both FCs and private players to bid on!

"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."
What I'm curious about now, ESPECIALLY on Faerie, is when they switch the wards to Personals (As they have quite literally just announced) What are we supposed to do if those wards are taken up? Wait and pray that they add more personal availability? (Which is fine, generally, but a lot of us have been clicking and waiting for quite a long time. I do have love for the idea of housing and some aspects of its current iteration, I just think it does not work for the current player base at all.)
And no, server transfer for buying a house is not really worth it to me and a lot, as some have suggested. Places like Materia have HUGE ghost towns, but am I supposed to leave all my friends behind to go get a house? Seems a little excessive to me.
I just hope they give us actual solutions in the future, not just band aids for a system that hasn't worked in a long time.
So they announced that they'll open wards 10-17 to personals in 17 days. This gives all those up and coming shell FCs, what, two bidding cycles to buy up what's left on those wards before individuals get a crack at it?
On balmung the empyreum housing situation in those wards isn't even great. It's certainly got plots left, but it's gonna be really bad by the time individuals can do their thing. I bet there won't even be ten plots to bid on by the time they're open, at the rate people have made shell FCs. Kudos to SE for partially doing the right thing, at a point when it's too late to even matter. Once those wards open, we'll go through a bidding cycle and be right back at square one.
We need more wards in general, and let only individuals bid on them. Or failing that, just open literally all of the wards to individual buyers as well and do it during the next bidding session. Don't give these fake ass FCs 20 more days to get old enough to screw everyone else. So sick of this BS. I didn't bother with leaving the FC I like and making a shell FC mostly because I like the people in my FC, but also because I just thought you'd be semi-competent on this for some reason. Meanwhile, everyone I know who made a shell FC for this, did it because they thought the devs were too incompetent to interpret feedback and adjust the ward situation in a timely manner. And every day you prove those people right. I'm sorry for ranting but holy crap this is frustrating because it's really not hard and a lot of this could've been avoided if you'd just opened the wards to all types of buyers at the beginning instead of segregating them for no reason like this. Look at the FC wards right now. They're a joke. Most of the time when you click the placards, you see info about an FC owned by 1 guy and his 3 alts. "Real fc btw" lmfao. It's a pointless ward owned by individuals, not FCs. They didn't need this massive advantage and all you did was incentivize really gross behavior and let it flourish for months while ignoring people when they told you it was happening fkjadslfj ok here look i'll show you how you can make people happy really fast okay watch this:
more wards please
don't bother segregating them
when they fill up, add more
"oh but servers or something" ok look every time there's a live letter you brag about how much money this game generates and how many players it has. so take that money, ok? take it. and invest it back into the game for once, because nobody even plays these marvel spinoff titles you're dumping our sub money into

Could have created your own Alt to create an FC and go for a House. Given you are on Balmung it shouldnt be a problem for you to "imagine" it would be your Mains "Home".
Hell you could even play it as a Home from a weird Landlord or whatever. And its also easier to keep up the House even if you unsub. You only need a trustworthy Friend who resets the Demo Timer for you.
sorry? i have been told so many times that it *is* against the TOS and im not a lawyer and i have no desire to read through the entire TOS on my own. i assumed that the 50 or so people that told me were not just lying.
When did they mention they were opening wards up? so far as i am aware they havent made any comment on that at all.
edit: just saw the post. nvm

Just give me larger sized apartments. And I am fine with this whole housing misery. There is literally nothing holding them back to do this.
