    Repairing other characters gear

    I have a friend, who is not into crafting, and thus, during an instance, he can't repair his gear with dark matter, only through menders. However, with a proper crafter, anyone can meld materia to other players gear. So, this has left me wondering, why repairing other players gear couldn't be done the same way? I think this would be a welcome improvement.

    Sure! Why not!
    Back in the old days, this convenience of repairing in instances was an incentive to get people to level up multiple crafting classes.
    Now, everyone's already an omnicrafter. We don't need this as an incentive.
    It makes sense to allow repairing of others.
